With Beta being targeted for August, Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 version 4.5 will be in general release before the end of the year. Here are some brief highlights of what’s coming in the release with a full Pre-Release Guide available here.
The main features and functionality enhancements will be in the Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchase Order, and Sales Order Modules.
Accounts Receivable now has a feature called National Account Management which provides the ability to establish relationships between a parent company and branches or subsidiaries assigned a unique account. An example of how this is used would be that a distributor using Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 would be able to ship goods to one customer, and invoice the National Account, rather than bill the "Sold To" customer account.
The new version also allows users to automatically create purchase orders from sales orders – this will save time and reduce data entry errors. Other enhancements to Sales Order include the ability to set pricing levels by customer and product line; pricing flexibility for total item quantities, enhanced Sales Order integration with Job Cost, distribute by lot and serial number, maintain split commissions by customer, and commission rate table by salesperson, customer, and item.
Enhancements to Payroll include additional calculation methods, deduction re-calculation by payroll entry, deduction calculation based on earnings type, payroll data entry importing and enhanced benefit accrual.
