Assisted Company Setup

To guide you through the steps required to set up Sage MAS 500, we offer Assisted Company Setup. You can assign each of the tasks required to set the system, and even have them appear as a Microsoft Outlook task. Each step has detailed help, including how that data is used in our sister products, MAS 90, MAS 200 or PFW by Sage Software. This utility makes it easy to import data, or copy data from other companies.  When migrating from MAS 90 or MAS 200, Assisted Company Setup also provides the ability to automatically extract, convert, and input it into Sage MAS 500. 

 

Data Migration

A fundamental change has taken place in the software industry that underscores the importance of data migration tools. In the past, many new system sales were to companies who had never had an enterprise-wide system. Now, almost every company buying a business management software package is replacing a legacy system. The data in these legacy systems represent years, if not decades, of irreplaceable sales, customer, employee, business partner, or other type of mission-critical information. 

 

A solid data migration strategy will ensure that the right data is transferred to the new system. Only then can managers make the informed decisions they need to thrive in a competitive market. There are several very powerful ways to enter data into Sage MAS 500.  This includes Data Migrator, a utility that leverages Application Programming Interfaces to validate and input data from legacy systems, either directly through the Sage MAS 500 user interface or through spreadsheets.  Better still, if you are upgrading from sister products MAS 90 or MAS 200, a database conversion utility converts all the data automatically and additional conversion help to make your transition as smooth as possible.

 

Sage MAS 500 also provides several tools to rename data, so that customers, vendors, general ledger accounts, and other data structures can be easily modified to meet dynamic business requirements.
